We are a Counselling Centre
For the Hurting
Our call at the Sanctuary is to walk with the broken-hearted
and to release those in captivity (Isaiah 61)
The SanctuaryChristian Counselling Centre known as”The Sanctuary” was birthed out of a vision laid upon Olga Fredericks heart though a prophecy given to her in 2009: “God is calling you to establish something in a country that is not your own. It is a small seed. It may be something small but it is some big thing that is latent and dormant It is a vision waiting to be birthed:’
From there we grew and were lead to join together with other ministries with the same visions such as Global Mandate Wholistic Care Centres and the Harare Christian Counselling Centre in Zimbabwe
We walk alongside all individuals who need care, regardless of their religious affiliation, and in doing so ask our Lord Jesus Christ to minister His love and healing through us to all our clients. Our focus is Christ-centred, Biblically based and Spirit led. Our counsellors use an integrated approach to counselling, using psychological theories that are consistent with scripture, prayer and teaching, to assist those who are broken-hearted. Our aim is to encourage every believer to reach maturity in Christ so that they may, in tum, give God glory in their walk with Him.
At the Sanctuary we would like to be of assistance and support to the church in walking with the wounded. We do not wish to usurp the ministry of the church, but to be a support to the church in walking with the wounded. Our calling at Sanctuary is to come alongside the wounded and in time to feed healthy individuals back into the church of their choice. We are an interdenominational ministry, supporting all churches in our area. We also have a ministry in Soweto and on the East Rand.
